UPDATE
15 pavement rehabilitation stimulus projects have been awarded and will be completed by the end of the year!
On September 24, 2009 Clark County had a bid opening on contract # 601635 - its first American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) "Stimulus Project" funded by the state appropriations from the Federal Highway Administration for shovel-ready transportation infrastructure projects.
Unincorporated Clark County will receive $16.3 million of Nevada's $201 million in ARRA funding allocated to transportation projects. The department of Public Works has created six "ready-to-go" construction packages that will repair community bus stop concrete pads, replace non-conforming intersection sidewalks into ADA-compliant wheelchair ramps, and rehabilitate the pavement of over 100 miles of roadway throughout our neighborhoods countywide. 100% of the transportation spending by the Department of Public Works will go towards rebuilding Clark County's infrastructure.
